Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions
Pay by text
Register or log in at https://portal.acwd.org/portal/, open Billing, select Text to Pay, complete the enrollment steps, and confirm the enrollment email. ACWD publishes no separate keyword or short code because the text-payment feature is activated within the My Smart Water Connect account; the portal then sends payment-related notifications to the enrolled mobile contact.
Mail-in address
Alameda County Water District, PO BOX 101837, Pasadena, CA 91189-1837. Mail a check with the payment coupon in the envelope supplied with the bimonthly bill; ACWD recommends mailing at least seven business days before the due date because payment must be received and applied by the due date.
Counters, drop boxes, and office hours
ACWD Headquarters, 43885 S. Grimmer Boulevard, Fremont, CA 94538, accepts in-person payments Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; the District’s business office hours are 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Counter payment types are cash, check, money order, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. A night drop box to the right of the front doors accepts checks and money orders after hours; do not place cash in it. Customer-service telephone assistance is available at (510) 668-4200, and there are no published third-party retail payment locations.
