Leak adjustment and assistance information for California Domestic Water Company

A high bill does not automatically qualify for a credit. This page states only the provider-specific emergency, leak, or assistance details identified in public material.

1

Stop active water loss

Use the provider’s emergency route for public-side issues and a qualified repair route for private plumbing.

2

Preserve the evidence

Keep dated readings, photographs, parts receipts, contractor invoices, and proof that usage returned to normal.

3

Ask for the exact policy

Confirm the form, filing deadline, eligible repairs, calculation method, and payment expectation during review.

Provider-specific findings

Relief research for this provider

The notes below may document a route, rule, or explicit public-information limit. General preparation steps are not represented as utility policy.

Emergency reporting route
(562) 947-3811 is California Domestic's published office contact. The Company's reviewed website does not identify a separate 24/7 emergency IVR or after-hours water-break number. Its operating system includes wells, treatment facilities, pumps, and long-distance transmission pipelines; shareholders and successor retail providers should use this number during office hours and their own retail provider's emergency line for a customer-side or downstream emergency.
Leak-adjustment policy
California Domestic's current public materials do not publish a retail residential high-bill leak-adjustment formula, repair-receipt requirement, historic-average calculation, credit cap, or customer-side leak claim process. The system is principally wholesale and its invoices report shareholder deliveries, consumption, and entitlement credits. A wholesale shareholder disputing unusual volume should preserve meter reads, delivery reports, repair records, and invoices and contact (562) 947-3811 for a technical/account review. Former retail shareholders should request any private-leak review from the successor City of La Habra or Suburban Water Systems account holder rather than assume a California Domestic credit applies.
State and federal aid connection
The reviewed California Domestic website and rules do not publish a LIHWAP application URL, state water-arrears workflow, local charity payment tie-in, or household-income assistance program. Because the Company is primarily wholesale and former retail shareholders are being moved to retail providers, a household should contact the successor retail utility for any California, county, federal, or nonprofit bill-assistance application. California Domestic shareholders should contact the Whittier office regarding account-specific financial or payment questions.
