Leak adjustment and assistance information for City of Beverly Hills Public Works – Water Services

A high bill does not automatically qualify for a credit. This page states only the provider-specific emergency, leak, or assistance details identified in public material.

1

Stop active water loss

Use the provider’s emergency route for public-side issues and a qualified repair route for private plumbing.

2

Preserve the evidence

Keep dated readings, photographs, parts receipts, contractor invoices, and proof that usage returned to normal.

3

Ask for the exact policy

Confirm the form, filing deadline, eligible repairs, calculation method, and payment expectation during review.

The notes below may document a route, rule, or explicit public-information limit. General preparation steps are not represented as utility policy.

Emergency reporting route
Call (310) 285-1000 for emergency water turn-off/turn-on, water meter issues, and service problems during Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. After hours, call (310) 550-4900. The City lists the same after-hours number for sewer stoppage and urgent water-service matters.
Leak-adjustment policy
The reviewed Beverly Hills public pages do not publish a private-leak credit formula, repair-receipt deadline, historic-average calculation, or lifetime cap. A customer with a high bill should check the meter and property plumbing, stop and repair any leak, preserve photos, readings, and invoices, and contact Utility Billing at (310) 285-1000 for a bill review or current WaterSmart adjustment process. Do not assume that a private leak automatically generates a credit.
State and federal aid connection
The reviewed Beverly Hills pages do not publish a dedicated local LIHWAP intake, state application URL, or charity tie-in. Customers should call (310) 285-1000 before discontinuation and separately check California’s current Low Income Household Water Assistance Program at https://www.csd.ca.gov/lihwap and county assistance resources.
