Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
Thirty days after the bill due date. The city states an account is delinquent if not paid within 30 days after the due date; a 10% penalty on all fees or charges is then imposed.
Late-fee calculation
A 10% penalty applies to all fees or charges when the combined utility account becomes delinquent after the 30-day period following the due date. Customers may request a payment plan to avoid water shutoff; the city’s public page does not identify an additional flat late charge.
Disconnection timeline
The bill is mailed between the eighth and twelfth of each month. The account becomes delinquent after 30 days past the due date, and a 10% penalty is imposed. A financially unable customer may request a 12-month payment plan; if the approved plan is violated, the city can dispatch a technician to shut off service the same day. The exact ordinary shutoff date is governed by the SB 998 discontinuation policy.
