Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
Bills are due and payable upon presentation and become past due 25 days after the billing date. Customers unable to pay are directed to call 949-631-1200 to discuss arrangements before shutoff.
Late-fee calculation
Effective January 1, 2026, a delinquent bill is charged 5% of the unpaid balance with a $48 minimum. A final notice is $28 for the first unit and $28 per additional apartment unit; nonpayment of the final notice is $31. An unpaid closing bill sent to collections carries 54% of the unpaid balance.
Disconnection timeline
Day 0 is the billing date; the bill is due on presentation and becomes past due after 25 days. Mesa Water's fee schedule then provides a final-notice charge, a $76 visit to the service address for termination, and restoration charges after payment. The reviewed public page does not state a fixed number of days between final notice and the physical shutoff visit.
