What the public record says about a leak adjustment
MNWD’s current adjustment page allows a customer to request a bill adjustment when consumption exceeds Tier 3 of the customer’s calculated water budget, including a repaired toilet, irrigation leak, pinhole leak, irrigation-timer malfunction, or other qualifying event. The customer must submit the current Adjustment Form within 90 days of the high bill; the District may require repair receipts, work orders, site plans, or other documentation. The customer is responsible for arranging payment if the bill cannot be paid when due. A qualifying customer who repairs the leak promptly and returns to efficient use within the customized water budget may receive a one-time adjustment for one high bill, issued as a credit on a future bill within two billing cycles. No universal percentage reduction is promised; eligible Tier 3-and-above charges are recalculated under the District’s bill-adjustment policy.
