Pay San Gabriel Valley Water Company – Montebello 2 System

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as InvoiceCloud, the authorized San Gabriel Valley Water Company online payment partner. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

SGV Water Company does not publish a general SMS keyword or text-to-pay short code for Montebello 2. Customers can enroll in InvoiceCloud online payments or bank-account AutoPay and may receive account notices only through contact information maintained with the Utility. Treat an unsolicited payment text as unverified; use the authorized InvoiceCloud portal or call (626) 448-6183.

Mail-in address

San Gabriel Valley Water Company, P.O. Box 5970, El Monte, CA 91734-1970. Mail the detachable bill remittance and payment, include the account number, and allow processing time because the Utility treats payment as received when credited rather than by postmark. Do not use Doxo; SGV Water explicitly warns that Doxo is unaffiliated and unauthorized.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

SGV Water accepts cash, checks, cashier's checks, and money orders at its customer-service offices and provides front-entry drop boxes. The current 2026 customer contact is the El Monte office, 11142 Garvey Avenue, El Monte, CA 91733, open Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and closed Fridays; the company has announced the Whittier office closure effective July 30, 2026. The El Monte office also has a digital payment kiosk. No staffed Montebello cashier is published; customers should call (626) 448-6183 for premise-specific directions and same-day service eligibility.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

InvoiceCloud supports one-time and recurring payments by credit card, debit card, and eCheck. SGV Water's separate AutoPay form authorizes recurring bank-account debit using a voided check, and the 24/7 IVR accepts credit card or eCheck. Bank bill pay is accepted if the customer includes the correct account number. Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Venmo are not confirmed in the reviewed SGV Water materials.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

The reviewed SGV Water billing page does not state a flat 2026 online or IVR convenience fee; any InvoiceCloud fee must be confirmed at the final payment screen. The Utility's rates and regulatory schedules may include CPUC reimbursement or other approved line items, while third-party portal fees, if displayed, are separate. Avoid unauthorized Doxo payments, which the Utility warns can delay posting and cause missed due dates.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by San Gabriel Valley Water Company – Montebello 2 System and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
