Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
Five days after the last-business-day due date. Castle Rock’s billing page states that payments received after the five-day grace period are assessed a $5 late fee.
Late-fee calculation
A $5 late fee is assessed after the five-day grace period. Past-due notices and disconnection generate additional service fees that may not appear on the current bill, so customers must pay the red-marked past-due balance plus all posted fees immediately. Colorado water charges are lienable, and nonpayment can result in a property lien.
Disconnection timeline
Monthly bills are due on the last business day; after the five-day grace period a $5 late fee posts. If a past-due balance remains, Castle Rock may send a Notice of Intent to Disconnect Water with additional fees. After disconnection, full payment of all past-due charges and service fees is required, and reconnection is scheduled by the end of the next business day after the Town receives payment at its office.
