Provider-specific review
What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Athens-Clarke County requires the leak to be repaired before an adjustment request and the request must be submitted within 60 days of repair. Documentation is required: homeowners or tenants performing self-repairs must provide a detailed explanation plus receipts for parts/materials, while repairs involving main lines or permit-required work may require a licensed plumber. Underground pipe leaks, broken service lines, repaired toilets, and licensed-plumber repairs can qualify; hoses, irrigation overuse, seasonal use, unrepaired or undocumented leaks do not. Each request is reviewed using historical usage, leak extent/duration, and impacted billing periods; approved reductions are applied to the amount owed and may not appear as a separate credit line.
