Provider-specific findings

The notes below may document a route, rule, or explicit public-information limit. General preparation steps are not represented as utility policy.

Leak-adjustment policy
Dalton Utilities states that a leak on the customer side of the meter is the customer's responsibility and must be repaired immediately. A leak adjustment may be granted on residential accounts after the customer provides evidence and confirmation that the repair was completed; the public page links a Leak Adjustment Form, but it does not publish a guaranteed percentage, dollar cap or number-of-adjustments limit. Customers should submit the form with repair invoices, photographs or plumber confirmation and wait for account review before withholding payment.
Utility assistance program
Project CARE automatically rounds a Dalton Utilities bill up to the next dollar unless the customer opts out; the reviewed program page does not describe an income-based water credit, senior discount, disabled-veteran reduction or fixed assistance cap.
