Utility assistance program
Illinois American Water’s Income-Based Discount Program can credit 10%-80% of water and/or wastewater bills for eligible residential customers at or below 300% of current federal poverty guidelines, with annual recertification and a 12-month nonretroactive term. H2O Help to Others provides one-time Salvation Army assistance up to $100 per household per calendar year toward a delinquent account.
