Payment channels

Pay The Maine Water Company

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as InvoiceCloud. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Telephone payment

Phone IVR

1-855-718-1472 for 24/7 automated payments by card, checking account, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, or PayPal. Maine Water customer-service and emergency support is 1-800-287-1643.

Have your account number and payment instrument ready. Follow the provider’s recorded prompts and retain the confirmation number.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

The reviewed current Maine Water payment pages advertise InvoiceCloud registration, AutoPay, e-billing, one-time payment, and payment-history features but do not publish a pay-by-text keyword, short code, or enrollment procedure. Customers should register through the official InvoiceCloud link or ask Maine Water customer service whether text payment is enabled for their account.

Mail-in address

The Maine Water Company, P.O. Box 70700, Philadelphia, PA 19176-0700. Customers should use the remittance envelope, include the bill payment stub, and write the Maine Water account number on the check so the lockbox can apply the payment correctly.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

Maine Water lists payment agencies rather than one universal public cashier counter: all Bangor Savings Bank branches in Maine, Millinocket Save A Lot, and the Porter, Maine Town Office accept personal checks, cash, or money orders subject to each agency’s own hours and policies. The company’s public pages do not publish a single statewide walk-in utility office schedule or drop-box list. Customers should verify local agency hours before traveling and use the customer-service line for account-specific questions.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

The InvoiceCloud account and one-time-payment channels accept checking accounts/e-checks and credit or debit cards. Maine Water’s 24/7 IVR additionally advertises credit or debit card, checking account, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, and PayPal. Registered users can review invoice history, payment history, saved remittance information, and AutoPay settings.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

No convenience fee for customers paying a Maine Water bill through the live InvoiceCloud payment flow. The InvoiceCloud account-search page expressly states that its generic terms may reference a convenience fee, but that fee does not apply to Maine Water. Participating retail agencies may have their own handling policies, which are separate from the online channel.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by The Maine Water Company and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
