Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
20 calendar days after the due date for the tariff service classification that states the late-charge rule; residential account notices and the current bill control for the customer’s actual due date.
Late-fee calculation
The New York Water tariff states that a late payment charge of 1.5% per month is assessed on a balance not paid in full within 20 calendar days after the due date for the applicable service classification. Customers should confirm the charge on the current residential tariff and bill.
Disconnection timeline
A dedicated this detail was not publicly posted. Liberty publishes payment arrangements and advises customers to contact Customer Service before the due date, but the current public customer page does not provide a fixed day-by-day shutoff calendar.
