During the 2024–2026 upgrade, the City is replacing legacy meters with Sensus digital AMI meters, with Core & Main and VEPO Metering installing the equipment. The wireless radio network regularly transmits usage data for on-demand readings, online dashboard access, and continuous-flow leak alerts. Until conversion is complete, the system uses a mix of radio-transmitted, touch-pad, drive-by, and manual reads; the City states that participation is mandatory and there is no customer charge for the upgrade.
