What the public record says about a leak adjustment
MAWC states that customers are responsible for leaks on customer-owned service lines and fixtures and should repair them immediately. A one-time underground leak adjustment is available per property for ground-box-setting or underground service-line leaks; future leaks are borne by the customer. The public rules do not publish the credit math or a universal receipt checklist, so customers should contact MAWC and retain invoices, photographs, and other repair proof.
