Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
Bills are due within 30 days from the billing date. The Water Division may discontinue service when the bill is not paid within 40 days of the billing date, provided written notice is given 10 days before termination.
Late-fee calculation
The reviewed rules state that penalties apply when bills are not paid within 40 days of the billing date, but they do not state the current percentage or fixed amount. Failure to receive a bill does not relieve the owner of payment or penalties.
Disconnection timeline
Quarterly bill issued; payment due within 30 days; after 40 days from the billing date the Water Division may discontinue service, but only after written notice at least 10 days before the termination date. The department may also issue a courtesy final notice for delinquency.
