Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
14 days from the bill date to the stated due date, followed by a 7-day additional period after GSWSA mails a past-due notice; the practical published warning window is up to 21 days from bill date before disconnection may occur.
Late-fee calculation
After the due date GSWSA adds a late-payment fee of $2.00 plus 1.5% of the amount due. A delinquent-account administrative fee of $15.00 may also apply. A returned check is $35.00. The current bill, penalties, and the appropriate reconnection fee must be paid before restoration.
Disconnection timeline
Day 0 is the monthly bill date; payment is due on day 14. If unpaid, GSWSA adds the penalty and mails a past-due notice allowing 7 additional days. If the balance is still unpaid after that 7-day period, the published policy says service may be disconnected, subject to account and operational processing.
