Pay Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) Water and Wastewater Services

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as InvoiceCloud; BPUB's authenticated account portal is also powered by SilverBlaze Solutions. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Telephone payment

Phone IVR

(956) 983-6121, BPUB's 24/7 automated InvoiceCloud payment line. The published limits are up to $10,000 for e-check and $1,000 for credit/debit cards; phone payments carry a $0.95 third-party processing fee.

Have your account number and payment instrument ready. Follow the provider’s recorded prompts and retain the confirmation number.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

BPUB's current Payment Options page confirms that InvoiceCloud offers Pay-by-text, but the public BPUB page does not expose a keyword, short code, or step-by-step enrollment URL in its rendered instructions. Customers should sign in to the BPUB/InvoiceCloud account portal and follow the Pay-by-text enrollment prompts, or call (956) 983-6121 during customer-service hours for the current opt-in workflow. The portal also supports one-time, scheduled, and AutoPay payments.

Mail-in address

Brownsville Public Utilities Board, P.O. Box 95221, Grapevine, TX 76099-9752. BPUB asks customers to mail payments at least five days before the due date to allow processing time.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

BPUB Administration/Main Office, 1425 Robinhood Drive, Brownsville, Texas, has a 24/7 payment drop box; payments deposited after 3:00 p.m. are processed the next business day. The same site has five drive-through lanes open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; current portal materials also identify lobby and drive-up cash/check acceptance. BPUB lists 19 retail pay stations at participating H-E-B, Lopez, and El Globo stores; individual retailer hours and any federal cash or identification limits vary by site. The current official payment page does not publish a single consolidated counter-hours schedule beyond the drive-through hours.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

InvoiceCloud accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and electronic check/ACH. Customers can make one-time payments without registration, schedule a payment, or enroll in AutoPay from a checking account or credit/debit card. Credit/debit card payments are limited to $1,000 per transaction; e-check AutoPay has no stated transaction limit up to the published phone limit.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

Credit and debit card payments incur a merchant-service charge of $2.50 minimum or 1.95% of the transaction, whichever is greater. BPUB's public InvoiceCloud page identifies e-check/ACH, cash at pay stations, and check by mail as fee-avoidance alternatives. A separate $0.95 third-party processing fee applies to payments made through the 24/7 automated phone line.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) Water and Wastewater Services and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
