Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
Bills are due on the 10th. The current 2026 account packet adds a 10% penalty to payments not received on time. A cutoff notice supplies the final date before disconnection; the packet does not publish a universal day-count beyond that notice.
Late-fee calculation
A 10% penalty is assessed after the 10th. Returned checks incur a $35 fee. A $25 administrative fee is charged to reinstate utilities after cutoff. Customers may request the Average Payment Plan for balanced billing, but the packet does not state a delinquency waiver.
Disconnection timeline
Bills are mailed at month-end and due on the 10th; late accounts receive a mailed cutoff notice; service is disconnected if the bill is not paid by the date on that notice; reinstatement requires the $25 administrative fee. If the 10th falls on a weekend or holiday, a payment in the City drop box before the next business day opens is considered timely.
