Provider-specific review
What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Under City Ordinance #4211, a customer who presents proof that a concealed leak was repaired may request consideration of an adjustment once every 12 months. The request requires account, service-address and contact information and proof of repair; the City may adjust the bill based on the submitted facts. Irving’s application says only the two highest leak-affected months are considered, while the customer must continue paying a normal monthly amount for affected months and all current charges after repair. The City may instead arrange a payment plan for financial hardship or high usage caused by a repaired leak, generally no more than twice per year for the account holder or co-applicant.
