Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
Five days after the due date before the late fee is added; a separate 19-day automatic extension period is then described from the due date.
Late-fee calculation
A 10 percent late fee is added to current charges after the five-day grace period, with a minimum of $5.00. Payment extensions can avoid the fee if payment is received during the 19-day automatic extension; additional payment plans generally require eligibility and 50 percent payment.
Disconnection timeline
The bill is due 16 days after the bill date, then has a five-day late-fee grace period and a 19-day automatic extension. If service is disconnected, the customer must pay the entire past-due balance, current bill, and related fees; an additional deposit is required if disconnected twice within 12 months and for each later disconnection.
