Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
Bills are due by 4:30 p.m. on the 15th. A 10% late charge applies after that time; the final day to pay is the 25th before close of business, giving the customer a ten-day period before the stated next-day interruption risk.
Late-fee calculation
A 10% increase is added to the balance after the 15th. In default, a $35 untimely/nonpayment fee is applied. Returned checks cost $30 each; after two returned checks, the City will not accept checks from that customer for two years and applicable late, nonpayment, or reconnection fees can remain due.
Disconnection timeline
The monthly bill is due on the 15th by 4:30 p.m.; a 10% late charge posts after the deadline; the final payment day is the 25th; in default, the City states that water, sewer, and garbage services may be discontinued without notice. Restoration requires the total bill plus the $35 late-charge/nonpayment fee and any other applicable charges.
