A past-due balance can trigger fees or a shut-off process. Contact the provider promptly if a notice is incorrect, a payment is pending, or a household needs assistance.

Grace period

14 calendar days beyond the bill due date before the published late fee applies.

Late charges

For unpaid balances 14 calendar days beyond the bill due date, Skagit PUD charges $10 or 1% per month, whichever is greater. A $35 returned financial-instrument charge applies to NSF, ACH return, closed-account, or similar events.

Shut-off timeline

If service is disconnected, an online payment does not automatically schedule reconnection. All past-due bills, late fees, and collection-related deposits/charges must be paid; the customer must call 360-424-7104 during Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. hours to schedule restoration. Reconnection

Effective January 1, 2026, the disconnection/reconnection service fee is $80 for service between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, and $300 for after-hours reconnection Monday through Friday after 4:00 p.m., weekends, and holidays.
