What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Dothan provides a Water Leak Adjustment Request for qualifying domestic residential and commercial accounts. The current code-change summary limits an adjustment to usage above the customer’s normal or average consumption, credits 50% of that excess usage, limits the adjusted event to a three-month maximum, and allows one leak adjustment per customer or location in a five-year period. Irrigation accounts and new construction within the first year are excluded. Customers should stop the leak, document the repair, and submit the city’s water-leak form; the public form and summary do not state a universal receipt format or a guaranteed approval deadline. Dothan also provides a separate pool-fill sewer adjustment path.
