Provider-specific review
What the public record says about a leak adjustment
EVWD’s public leak page instructs customers to report street or meter-box leaks to Customer Service and warns that a leak on private property may be the customer’s responsibility. The reviewed 2026 materials do not publish a standard hidden-leak credit percentage, repair-receipt formula, claim deadline, or lifetime cap. Customers should report the leak promptly, preserve photographs, meter readings, plumber invoices, repair dates, and consumption history, and ask Customer Service whether a case-specific adjustment or payment arrangement is available. EVWD’s advanced-meter portal provides hourly usage, history, threshold alerts, and weather comparison that can help document when abnormal consumption began and stopped; a bill credit is not automatic under the published policy.
