What the public record says about a leak adjustment
ACWWA's uncontrollable-water-usage policy allows a customer to submit a letter describing the leak or other uncontrollable event, the solution method, and the repair date. If ACWWA approves, it may credit the difference between the original tier and a lower tier based on the property's prior usage; ACWWA controls the credit amount. Proof of repair, such as service and/or parts receipts, is required, and the request must be submitted within 12 months of repair. Credits over $3,000 or incidents older than three months may require Board approval; late fees continue unless the problem is corrected by the agreed date.
