Payment channels

Pay City of Aurora – Aurora Water Customer Service

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as SpryEngage / CivicLive. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Telephone payment

Phone IVR

Aurora’s billing page advertises 24-hour pay-by-phone service. Use (303) 739-7388 for billing and payment assistance during the published 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday customer-service window; after hours, weekends, and city holidays, the published customer-service/reconnect line is (303) 739-6772.

Have your account number and payment instrument ready. Follow the provider’s recorded prompts and retain the confirmation number.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

No current Aurora Water text-to-pay enrollment keyword, short code, or opt-in sequence is published on the official billing and portal pages reviewed. Customers can instead enroll in the myaccount.aurorawater.org portal, use its payment and notification functions, or call the billing number for current options. Do not assume that a general City text alert is a payment authorization.

Mail-in address

The current Aurora Water online billing pages reviewed do not publish a single universal remittance address in the visible payment instructions. Customers should use the payment address printed on the detachable remittance portion of the bill or confirm the correct lockbox address with Aurora Water Customer Service at (303) 739-7388 before mailing a check or money order.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

Aurora’s official Western Union instructions provide the current in-person cash route: customers may visit participating King Soopers or other grocery-store Western Union locations, request a Western Union Quick Collect payment to Aurora Water, bring the Aurora Water account number, and pay the store’s $1 service fee. The city states that Western Union payments are cash-only. The published Aurora Water billing pages do not identify a staffed municipal cashier counter or a current city drop-box schedule; confirm any local counter or drop-box availability with Customer Service before visiting. General customer-service hours are 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday, excluding holidays.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

The myaccount.aurorawater.org portal accepts online electronic payments and provides account, statement, and consumption access. Aurora’s current fee notice specifically distinguishes credit-card payments from ACH/e-check: nonresidential credit-card payments are subject to a fee, while ACH/e-check is listed as having no convenience fee. The public page does not enumerate a complete card-brand or mobile-wallet list, so customers should verify whether Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, or Google Pay is available in the live checkout screen rather than treating those instruments as confirmed.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

Aurora’s current billing page states that, effective June 9, 2025, nonresidential credit-card payments incur $7.95 for each $500 payment increment, with a maximum payment of $25,000; ACH/e-check has no convenience fee. A separate residential credit-card fee is not stated on the current public page reviewed. Western Union cash payments carry a $1 service fee. Customers should verify the checkout disclosure for any residential card charge before authorizing payment.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by City of Aurora – Aurora Water Customer Service and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
