Payment channels

Pay Colorado Springs Utilities – Water and Wastewater Customer Service

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as KUBRA EZ-PAY for guest and card payments; Colorado Springs Utilities My Account for authenticated billing, autopay, eBilling, payment plans, usage, and service transfers. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Telephone payment

Phone IVR

(719) 448-4800 or (800) 238-5434. The 24-hour automated system accepts account and card payment information; customers who frequently pay by phone can use KUBRA Fast Track by listening for the enrollment prompt and pressing 1. Residential billing support is available Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; business services use (719) 448-4808.

Have your account number and payment instrument ready. Follow the provider’s recorded prompts and retain the confirmation number.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

Colorado Springs Utilities does not publish a standalone text-to-pay keyword or short code. My Account eBilling can send an email or email-and-text notification when a bill is ready, and customers must verify the phone with a code during enrollment. Water-use alerts and billing alerts are notifications, not automatic text-authorized payment instructions; actual payments are made through My Account, KUBRA EZ-PAY, the 24-hour phone system, bank draft, kiosk, drop box, or mail.

Mail-in address

Colorado Springs Utilities, P.O. Box 340, Colorado Springs, CO 80901. Customers should detach the payment stub and mail a check or money order. General correspondence goes to Colorado Springs Utilities, P.O. Box 1103, Colorado Springs, CO 80947-0010; that is not the bill-payment lockbox address.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

The Customer Service Center is at 111 S. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903, with lobby hours Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., excluding holidays. A 24/7 kiosk outside the center accepts cash, checks, and credit/debit cards. Payment drop boxes are listed at King Soopers locations on Cheyenne Meadows Road, Centennial Boulevard, Austin Bluffs Parkway, North Academy Boulevard, South Academy Boulevard, Hartsel Drive, and Stetson Hills Boulevard; Safeway locations on Centennial Boulevard, North Wahsatch Avenue, North Circle Drive, Village Center Drive, and South Nevada Avenue; Walmart at 1575 Space Center Drive; Walmart Neighborhood Market at 1725 N. Union Boulevard; and Manitou City Hall, 606 Manitou Ave. Drop-box customers should use the payment stub and should not place cash in a box. KUBRA card payments, bank draft, mail, and the automated phone system are alternatives.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

KUBRA EZ-PAY accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diners Club, debit cards, and pinless debit cards. My Account supports bank-account payments, autopay, eBilling, payment plans, payment extensions, selected payment dates, and usage notifications. Kiosk payments accept cash, checks, and credit/debit cards. A bank account can be used for budget billing and recurring draft; the utility’s published options do not identify PayPal or Venmo as standard bill-payment instruments.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

KUBRA EZ-PAY charges $2.30 per transaction for residential credit/debit payments and $8.98 per transaction for commercial credit/debit payments, with a $5,000 limit per rolling 26-day period. Bank-account payments through My Account, budget billing, and the utility’s autopay are not identified as carrying that card convenience charge. A returned check, AutoPay, or credit/debit payment incurs a $30 returned-payment fee.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by Colorado Springs Utilities – Water and Wastewater Customer Service and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
