What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Aquarion’s customer-care material instructs customers to compare current CCF usage with the same billing period and the usage history shown on the statement, then investigate dripping fixtures or hidden leaks. Connecticut tariff rules allow a one-time adjustment for an undetectable leak when billed usage is at least three times the average for the same billing periods over the prior three years; the customer must repair the condition and submit the request under the applicable division’s rules. Because the utility now operates under the Aquarion Water Authority, the current portal or customer-service team should confirm required invoices, receipts, deadlines, and the final credit math.
