Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

The Utilities customer payment center is at Promenades Mall, 3280 South Tamiami Trail, Unit 505, Port Charlotte, Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. except holidays. County materials also permit in-person and drop-box payment; after-noon drop-box payments process the next business day.

Paymentus accepts debit, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, ACH, PayPal, PayPal Credit, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and in-store cash at participating retailers such as Walmart and CVS. Bank-to-bank payment is available through participating financial institutions.

Convenience fees

Paymentus auto-pay fee is $2.95 when using debit/credit card and $1 when using ACH; the County says fees do not go to the Utilities Department. Other paymentus transaction fees may appear in checkout.

The safest payment path is the one published by Charlotte County Utilities Department and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.
