What the public record says about a leak adjustment
The City explains that post-meter leaks are generally the customer's responsibility because the meter is considered reliable. A customer with a leak or unusual potable-water use that did not enter the City's sewer may qualify for a sewer-credit adjustment. The request is submitted through the City's sewer-credit process and can adjust the sewer portion of a high bill back toward the location's average sewer consumption. Clearwater's current customer page does not publish a universal filing deadline, repair-receipt list, percentage cap, or water-charge credit formula; customers should contact Utility Customer Service at (727) 562-4600 and provide the account, location, leak circumstances, repair evidence, and dates for case-specific review.
