Pay by text
Fort Lauderdale expressly offers Pay by Text through the utility self-service account, along with text and email bill reminders. The current page does not publish a universal enrollment keyword or shortcode; customers should register at utilitybilling.fortlauderdale.gov, choose Pay by Text/notification preferences, verify the mobile number, and follow the confirmation message. Emergency Alert FTL notifications are separate from payment and can arrive by phone, text, or email.
