Leak adjustment and assistance information for City of Sunrise Public Service / Utility Billing

A high bill does not automatically qualify for a credit. This page states only the provider-specific emergency, leak, or assistance details identified in public material.

1

Stop active water loss

Use the provider’s emergency route for public-side issues and a qualified repair route for private plumbing.

2

Preserve the evidence

Keep dated readings, photographs, parts receipts, contractor invoices, and proof that usage returned to normal.

3

Ask for the exact policy

Confirm the form, filing deadline, eligible repairs, calculation method, and payment expectation during review.

Provider-specific findings

Relief research for this provider

The notes below may document a route, rule, or explicit public-information limit. General preparation steps are not represented as utility policy.

Emergency reporting route
954-888-6087 for water-main breaks and utility emergencies; after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends the City also directs customers to 954-764-4357. Public Service customer service is 954-746-3232 during normal hours.
Leak-adjustment policy
The reviewed Sunrise public-service and January 2026 rate documents explain the conservation tiers, meter and account services, but do not publish a formal hidden-leak credit formula, repair-receipt checklist, eligibility threshold or annual cap. Customers should report the leak, repair the private plumbing, preserve invoices and contact Public Service at 954-746-3232 to ask whether a discretionary review or code-based adjustment is available.
Utility assistance program
No recurring senior, disabled-veteran or income-qualified water-bill credit cap was identified on the reviewed City utility pages. Sunrise does publish conservation rebates and toilet-replacement incentives, including Conservation Pays contact information, but those are conservation programs rather than a delinquency-assistance credit.
State and federal aid connection
The reviewed Sunrise utility pages do not identify a City-administered LIHWAP or other state/federal water-assistance intake process, nor a local charity payment partner. Customers needing hardship help should contact Public Service and Broward County social-service resources separately; the City rate sheet does not claim to process those applications.
