A 4% utility tax applies in the unincorporated County.

- Wastewater and sewer calculation
- Residential sewer is based on water usage and charged only through the first 15,000 gallons each month. The published single-family sewer schedule is $24.86 per month fixed plus $5.91 per 1,000 gallons up to the 15,000-gallon cap; sewer stops being charged above 15,000. Residential irrigation and reclaimed-water meters are separately billed and are not assessed the domestic sewer charge in the same way.
- Meter reading
- Seminole County uses Automatic Meter Reading devices that can be read by drive-by collection without direct contact. The FAQ states that meters are read approximately every 29-35 days; inaccessible or failed meters may be estimated from recent history. Customers can view three years of billing history and consumption through Click2Gov.
- New-account deposit
- Current residential deposits are $45 for water, $60 for sewer and $45 for irrigation/reclaimed service. Deposits earn interest and are credited after 12 months of satisfactory payment history: no late payments, returned checks, nonpayment disconnection, meter tampering or unauthorized use. A qualifying 12-month letter of credit from a previous utility or existing Seminole County credit may replace the deposit.
- Activation or transfer fee
- Residential applicants must provide a signed lease, closing disclosure, settlement statement, purchase agreement or warranty deed plus valid government photo identification. Existing customers transferring service must submit a new application and have the original account current. The reviewed pages do not publish a universal residential activation fee; residential irrigation-meter installation has separate published charges, including $353 for a 3/4-inch potable meter or $441 for a 1-inch reclaimed meter, a $45 deposit and $52 permit fee.
