What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Seminole County provides detailed leak-detection steps: turn off all water uses, inspect the meter flow indicator, close the master valve to distinguish an outdoor leak between the meter and house, test toilets and appliances one by one, shut off irrigation headworks and call a plumber if necessary. The County is responsible to the meter; the customer is responsible from the service-line coupling and beyond. The verified formal credit is a one-time $35 sewer pool-fill credit every five years, requested within 60 days of the affected bill, processed within about 30 days and limited to accounts with sewer service; a leak or new landscaping high bill may qualify for a payment plan by email, but no general leak-credit formula or cap is published.
