- Wastewater and sewer calculation
- City sanitary sewer is a fixed monthly fee plus a usage fee per 100 cubic feet; the May 1, 2026 schedule lists $2.93 fixed plus $3.13 per 100 cubic feet. BNWRD adds a $13.19 fixed fee covering 2,000 gallons/267 cubic feet plus $3.66 per 1,000 gallons (or $2.73 per 100 cubic feet). At 6,000 gallons, the combined sewer estimate is about $63.19 before water tax and stormwater.
- Meter reading
- Bloomington water meters use an RF transmitter that sends an encrypted meter number and reading to a receiver in a marked City vehicle. The RF unit transmits once every 14 seconds and the vehicle captures the reading once per month, with on-demand readings possible for final or special reads; a D-cell battery is described as lasting about 20 years. The City may add an RF unit to an existing meter or replace the meter with one containing RF equipment.
