Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions
Pay by text
Paymentus text-to-pay enrollment is available through the Commission Customer Portal. The customer signs in, opens the account details, changes the Paperless setting to Yes, and selects Pay By Text to enable the service. The utility’s payment instructions do not publish a separate public keyword; enrollment is initiated from the authenticated portal and customers should follow the confirmation text before using the service. Standard account, card, or bank information must remain current, and customers should use the portal or call Customer Service if a text payment fails or the account is already delinquent.
Mail-in address
Springfield Water and Sewer Commission, PO Box 3688, Springfield, MA 01101-3688. Payments should be mailed early because the Commission states that mailed payments require approximately three to five days for processing; a delinquent final notice directs customers not to rely on online or mail processing and instead to call Customer Service for immediate payment instructions.
Counters, drop boxes, and office hours
The Commission’s principal customer-facing office is at 250 M Street Extension, Agawam, MA 01001; administrative and billing assistance is generally available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with Customer Service at 413-452-1393. Customers can use a portal-generated $Cash barcode at participating Walgreens, CVS, and Dollar General locations, subject to the retailer’s hours and any retailer fee. The verified payment pages emphasize online, telephone, mail, and barcode-retail channels rather than a daily public cashier schedule. Customers receiving a delinquent final notice should call before visiting or mailing a payment and should be prepared to pay by Visa, Mastercard debit or credit, or Discover when directed.
