Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
No grace period is stated before the late penalty: the 2026 summary says the penalty is added to accounts not paid in full by the due date. Unpaid amounts more than 30 days past due are considered for certification to the County Auditor on July 1.
Late-fee calculation
A late-payment penalty of $20 or 7.5% of the unpaid balance, whichever is greater, is added to accounts not paid in full by the due date. A dishonored payment incurs a $30 service fee. Accounts certified to the County Auditor for collection receive a separate $50 certification fee, in addition to any county penalty or interest.
Disconnection timeline
The reviewed St. Cloud utility pages do not publish a fixed day-count from missed due date to physical shutoff. They do publish a July 1 certification trigger for balances more than 30 days past due and state that unpaid utility charges can become a lien on the property. Customers should contact Utility Billing at (320) 255-7211 for an account-specific collection or service status.
