Provider-specific review
What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Town Code §212-35 allows, in the Town's sole discretion, an allowance for an apparently excessive bill caused by leakage beyond the meter. The customer should promptly repair the pipe or fixture, notify the Town, provide any requested proof of repair and normal prior usage, and request review. The allowance cannot exceed one-half of the excess caused by leakage over normal usage, and the Town determines the amount of excess and whether the request qualifies.
Stop the loss
Shut off the failing fixture or supply and arrange a qualified repair.
Keep proof
