- Leak-adjustment policy
- Customers with a high bill caused by a repaired leak may submit the City's Water Bill Leak Adjustment Request. Greensboro directs applicants to Section G.7, Adjustment of Overages, in the current Rules and Regulations before filing. The customer should first stop the leak, preserve repair information and invoices, and provide the requested account, consumption, and repair details through the City's form; the City evaluates eligibility under the rule rather than granting an automatic credit. The current public customer-service page does not publish a single gallons-based cap, percentage formula, number-of-billing-period limit, or universal receipt schedule, so those elements must be confirmed with Water Resources when the request is submitted.
