Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
The first bill allows two weeks, a second bill allows another two weeks, and an urgent notice allows one week; the shutoff notice identifies the shutoff date and late fee.
Late-fee calculation
Medford Water's current page says the late fee is included on the shutoff notice but does not state a fixed percentage in the accessible text. Effective July 1, 2026, a $15 shut-off-notice processing fee and $25 insufficient-funds returned-payment charge are listed.
Disconnection timeline
First bill: two weeks to pay. Second bill: two additional weeks. Urgent notice: one week. Shutoff notice then identifies the shutoff date and late fee; water is shut off if the balance remains unpaid, and restoration requires all charges and fees paid in full.
