What the public record says about a leak adjustment
North Penn's 2026 rules place responsibility for leaks beyond the Authority's curb box on the property owner and require a leaking customer service line to be repaired after discovery, generally within 72 hours when the Authority identifies the condition. The rules do not promise a routine residential bill credit: when a leak location is unclear, the property owner may request an Authority investigation around the curb box, and the Authority assumes the incidental cost only if the leak is found between the curb box and the main. Customers should preserve meter readings, repair invoices, photographs, and the repair date and ask for a written determination.
