- (979) 822-3777, BTU's emergency hotline for water, wastewater, electric, drainage, and other public-works emergencies. Bryan Water Services also lists (979) 209-5900 for public-works customer service and water/sewer issue reports; water customers receive continuous-use and outage alerts from that number.
- Leak-adjustment policy
- Bryan's current water pages provide transmitted continuous-usage alerts and encourage customers to investigate unusual consumption, but the public materials reviewed do not publish a standard residential high-bill leak-adjustment percentage, gallon cap, receipt checklist, application deadline, or annual eligibility limit. Customers should use the BTU alert, inspect customer-side lines, document the repair, and contact BTU before the account becomes delinquent. The City states that homeowners are responsible for buried private water and sewer lines between the home and the public mains; an optional Service Line Warranties of America program may cover qualifying repairs up to $4,000 per incident plus a street-cut allowance, but it is a warranty product rather than a BTU bill credit.
