Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions
Pay by text
A dedicated this detail was not publicly posted. Amarillo's 2026 portal supports paperless billing, email notifications, recurring payments, and water-usage views, while the City separately promotes public emergency alerts, but no water-bill SMS short code, text keyword, or text-to-pay opt-in process is published.
Mail-in address
City of Amarillo, Utility Billing Department, P.O. Box 100, Amarillo, TX 79105. The City continues to accept mailed utility payments at this address; customers should use the new account number shown on the 2026 bill and follow the current bill's payment instructions.
Counters, drop boxes, and office hours
The Utility Billing Department's in-person office is Amarillo City Hall, 623 S. Johnson Street, Suite 1200, Amarillo, TX 79101. The north side of City Hall offers a drive-through payment window Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. City Hall also has a 24-hour night depository at the north entrance; the City instructs customers not to place cash in the depository. The current page lists the office but does not state a separate counter schedule beyond the City Hall operating schedule, so customers should confirm weekday access with Utility Billing at (806) 378-3030. Payments can also be made by mail, phone, and the online portal.
