Provider-specific review
What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Submit the City's Certification of Water Leak Repair form within 90 days of the bill showing wastage, with a leak description, proof of payment for repairs, and any required permit. No adjustment is issued until a full leak-free billing period occurs. One adjustment is allowed in any 12 months or two in five years; a pool-system leak is excluded. The credit is 60% of the difference from the average of the same month in the prior two years when water did not return to sewer/storm drainage, 50% when it did, and 40% for an irrigation-line leak. If repair takes more than two billing periods, only the two highest-wastage periods are used; no adjustment is available after six billing periods, and the credit cannot exceed the City's actual water cost.
