Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
The new portal transition states due dates remain 21 days after the statement date. The current fee schedule charges 10% of the bill as the late-payment fee; the public page does not separately state a grace period beyond the printed due date.
Late-fee calculation
Late payment is 10% of the bill. Additional published past-due fees include a $20 door-tag notice and $40 shutoff late-payment fee. Tampering fees are $50 locked nonpay, $40 damaged lock/plug, $75 pulled meter nonpay, and $100 straight-line. Service activation is $25; same-day service call $50; multiple trip $30.
Disconnection timeline
A current printed calendar progression is not fully reproduced on the public rate page. The published fee schedule identifies the $20 door-tag notice and $40 shutoff-late-payment fee; customers with a past-due account should contact Water Billing at (972) 237-8200. The current portal provides late/interruption alerts, but public pages reviewed do not state an exact day count from due date to physical shutoff.
