Provider-specific review
What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Longview publishes a specific sewer-related leak review instruction but not a broad water-bill credit formula. If a leak occurs during November, December, or January and could distort the following year's sewer winter average, the customer should repair the leak and report it to Utility Billing Services by May to be eligible for a possible billing adjustment. The City does not publish the percentage, gallon cap, invoice/receipt checklist, number of adjusted bills, or annual frequency limit for that review. Customers should document the discovery and repair, retain plumber invoices or parts receipts, and call (903) 237-1030 before the annual sewer charge is finalized. The public warning that winter leaks affect next year's sewer average is not a guarantee that excess water charges will be waived.
