Provider-specific review
What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Lufkin’s public code and Water Department routing require customers to distinguish a billing/high-usage question from a City-side water emergency. A customer should inspect toilets, faucets, irrigation, private service lines, and the meter area; stop or repair the leak; preserve invoices, parts receipts, photographs, repair dates, and meter readings; then contact Water Distribution at 936-633-0230 and Utility Collections at 936-633-0220. The current public sources reviewed do not expose a universal residential leak-credit formula, gallon cap, or filing deadline, so any adjustment remains subject to department review and the account’s current written policy.
