Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
No calendar-day grace period; payment is due by 5:00 p.m. on the date printed on the bill, and payments after that time are subject to penalty.
Late-fee calculation
A 10% penalty is assessed on the outstanding balance after 5:00 p.m. on the due date. Customers receive at most one courtesy penalty waiver per rolling 12-month period. Returned EFTs may incur a $35 processing fee.
Disconnection timeline
Continued failure to pay may result in disconnection, but the reviewed Southlake terms do not state an absolute day-count timeline from missed due date to shutoff. After nonpayment disconnection, the outstanding balance must be paid in full and Customer Service schedules reconnection.
