What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Waxahachie does not publish a current fixed percentage, cap, or automatic high-bill forgiveness formula. A customer should stop the leak, retain invoices, photographs, plumber statements, and repair completion evidence, then contact the Meter Department at 469-309-4181 and request an investigation or reread. An older official fee schedule lists a $50 meter test plus testing cost; if the meter is found faulty, the test and fee are reimbursed as a water-bill credit. An older revised fee schedule also lists a $65 utility investigation charge, but its current applicability should be confirmed. The City may review the facts and credit eligible excess usage, but no current public rule guarantees a sewer-only credit, a specific number of billing cycles, or a particular mathematical adjustment.
